By Mohammad A. Yousef
Life is a song, sing it,
with your heart wide open,
let the notes rise like the sun,
break the silence of dawn,
warmth spilling over the world.
With each breath,
find your melody—
the hum of laughter,
the quiet whispers of dreams,
the loud echoes of love.
Sometimes the tune feels off,
a stumble here, a pause there,
but that's just part of the dance.
Embrace the awkward steps,
twirl into the mess of happiness.
Grab a friend, hold them tight,
and harmonize under starlit skies,
every hope and fear woven together,
like fragile threads in a vibrant tapestry.
Write your verses, scribble your truth,
in a notebook hidden between the covers
of myths and half-spoken wishes.
Let the rhythms of the day
bounce against your spirit.
Do not fear the offbeat,
the unexpected sharp note,
for they shape the story,
bring colors to the canvas,
add meaning to your song.
So raise your voice,
let it soar through the trees,
over mountains, across wide rivers,
where the winds can catch your sound,
carry it to distant places.
Life is unpredictable,
a jazz band in full swing,
sometimes calm, sometimes wild—
trust in the music inside you,
and let it guide your way.
There's beauty in the broken parts,
the moments when you stumble,
because in the end,
every cracked piece shines,
linking you to all who sing along.
So go on,
fill the air with your spirit,
life is a song, sing it,
in the quiet grace of dawn,
under the echoing vast sky.
