Past is painful to be not, Future is dull to be future, Only the self is not, Feeling the presence is cordially painful to wish for the past

Dead past is Internecine to be death, A pulling to bygone dreams,

Feeling the presence is cordially painful to wish for the past,

Past is painful to be not, Future is dull to be future, Only the self is not,

It is a mirror that reflects but not exactly same mostly responded, how amazing to see that we living a life but it still a mystery and we learned and exam is everyday through decision and people surrounding...it is interesting but as you said the past is making now more pleasurable with dreams and its root to adulthood direction :)
