Life plays twice in the blink of an eye,
Twice, like it's set to fast forward,
There is no replay or redo,
No foreshadowing from here to there.

Do not waste your youth,
Trying not to make mistakes,
We all do,
Trust me, we all do.

Are you lonely?
Do you feel the elephant in your chest?
The heaviness pounding your heart,
So heavy you can't breathe?

Do you feel the bluebird in your mind?
Humming the waves of the ocean,
A lonely lullaby,
Reminding you of dreams undone.

And when you close your eyes,
You see your life like a movie,
Playing in front of you.
Where have all those years gone?

Why don't you weep?
It will ease the ache in your heart.
Perhaps, when it's your time,
Life will finally slow down.
