Life Goes On (Part 2) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Life Goes On (Part 2)

Tormentors evoked our grief
Times and times and times again
Often with harsh deliberate reminders
Of their blameless complications
In the betrayal that led to death

A friend however said to me
Brave up fatherless
Life goes on!

I'm 'used to" hearing (in my past) " time and time again" , not " times" , but i guess it is about the same. i know it should not be assumed by readers 'the speaker' in a poem is 'the poet', but i wonder: Are you writing about YOUR FAMILY? YOUR FATHER (and mother & you) ? friends ARE good to have (at times) . and life does go on....until it doesn't, but i KNOW what you mean. bri :)

Thank you Bri Edwards. Most of my writings are based on personal experiences.
