Life Poem by Abraham Lawrence

Life

Rating: 5.0

'In childhood's carefree cascade, I cruised through classes, calm and unafraid,
But now, as adulthood's anchor weighs, I stumble and falter, like a ship in a tempest's raid.

Once, straight A's adorned my way, like stars adorning the night's grand display,
Yet now, a lone C flickers in the fray, a distant glimmer, fading away.

Childhood's chorus, a choir of friends, sang harmonies that seemed to never end,
Now, in solitude, my voice suspends, like a lone bird in a winter's rend.

The sweetness lingers, a distant taste, amidst the bitterness life now lays to waste,
Innocence lost, replaced by haste, a journey marked by toil and chaste.

Life's path, a winding, wild ride, with peaks of joy and valleys wide,
The echo of laughter, the sting of pride, a rollercoaster, no place to hide.

But fear not the tempest, nor the steep climb, for in the heart of the storm, you'll find,
A strength that grows, a spirit that's kind, like a phoenix rising, unconfined.

For life's a tapestry, woven with care, threads of joy and threads of despair,
And in the end, when all seems bare, a masterpiece emerges from what we dared.

So, let the hardships shape and mold, for every struggle makes us bold,
In the crucible of life, we're gold, a story of triumph, yet untold.

Though now it seems the road is rough, and the journey feels impossibly tough,
Remember, dear heart, it's just a bluff, for in time, things will smooth and rebuff.

Life's trials, like waves on the shore, may crash and clamor, but there's something more,
A current of hope, a promise in store, that carries us to a brighter shore.

So, embrace the journey, the highs and lows, for in every challenge, a strength bestows,
And as life's river steadily flows, remember, it gets better, as the metaphor goes.'
