Absolutely brilliant. .

The word that popped into my mind as I read this poem is not a common one: it's trenchant. This is especially true for the stabbing which begins the poem - it's an amazing eye of the beholder description of the act, which shows how non-responsive this person who lies truly is. The second stanza has some knotty constructions but they fit the poem perfectly! The speaker expresses her triumph with quiet confidence. This poem excels in coiled energy.
