The heavy chains, the haunting dread,
The weight of guilt upon my head,
The striving soul, in fruitless fight
Against the Law's unyielding might:
These vanish now, like morning dew,
As Christ, my Lord, makes all things new.
No longer bound by sin's dark sway,
Nor cursed beneath the Law's strict way.
For on the Cross, His life poured out,
He paid the debt, removed all doubt.
By grace alone, through faith I stand,
Made righteous by His cleansing hand.
His spotless robe giv'n to me,
Righteous declared for all to see.
No earthly priest, no ritual's plea,
Can mediate between my God and me.
For Christ, the Way, the Truth, the Door,
Has opened heaven's boundless store.
The Spirit breathes, a living fire,
Awakening holy, pure desire.
To walk in truth, to love and serve,
No longer slaves, no longer swerve
From paths of peace, but by His grace,
We live to seek His holy face.
This glorious freedom, rich and deep,
While Christ our Shepherd, vigil keeps.
A child adopted, Spirit-led,
With every past transgression shed.
Oh, liberty in Christ, so pure and true,
Forever praising, Him anew!
