Letting Go Poem by Osaya Evbuomwan

Letting Go

As much as it hurts, I must respect your plea,
To leave you alone, to find my own way,
Your words cut deep, they sting like a bee,
But love like ours taught me to stay.

I regret nothing, for love has been bold,
In a world so cold, it sparked a flame,
I'll cherish the lessons, the warmth I hold,
And love you forever, despite all the pain.

So here's my goodbye, with a heart full of grace,
For in loving you, I found my own truth,
And though we part ways, I'll still see your face,
In the echoes of love, I'll honor my youth.
