Letters From The Sky Poem by Soumili Karmakar

Letters From The Sky

Rating: 4.0

The autumnal leaves are sprinkling the crystals of glittering rain
Oh, how anew it feels to breath in the welcoming air!
The little honeybees have completed their task
After the rain came, they slept beside their hearth.

They dreamt of meeting their friends; ants, ladybugs, and butterflies
All who rejoiced and wandered without any fright of the lady's glare.
Where upon in the autumn
Little did they know, I came to find them in the garden
Where none could I find except an infant doe.
I carried her in my arms and kept her at my home
I looked up for her and found sorrow in her woe.

She grew up with me and wondered whether I was like her.
She stared at me curiously,
To check if I had her horns
Little did she know I was called a human being by science.

We grew up too soon, we cherished and loved without a word
She sharped her horns and we laughed.
I did truly understand, that she comprehended me more than any of my species.
Yes, a selfless love so true can be found
In a world where humanity survives and kindness blooms
In the holy hand of the mother land.

My doe has turned seven this spring,
And I planned to take her to meet my autumnal friends.
The lady's garden was in bursting cheers
Celebrating life and innocence without abandoning any of its peers.
We were glad to feel ourselves running and smiling by our souls.

I, somehow feel deep within my heart
The concept of inclusion,
Defined by my garden friends
Is what we need more to learn from nature's art.
We are all united at the edges,
And we must believe
The sky full of stars in the night
Brightening the galaxy
Are letters to the world
Where our hearts sigh with a relief,
To console our minds in the midst of everything.

The letters are for everyone and are sent by many a stars of mine sky
They adore you and distance doesn't matter for them.
They asked me to read one letter aloud for you and they wrote:
'To have you in this world makes us realise that one of us lives there.
As your eyes twinkle when you smile,
And we find you showing the guiding light to a many and new faces.
We at times sparkle with pride
To congratulate you for all your achievements
And to make you believe that accountability is what you do,
To build a home within your heart,
Where Peace resides and Innocence smiles without any fear.'
