Letter To Meghadūta Poem by Md Fazlul karim

Letter To Meghadūta

Rain falls in the stream of clouds,
Your sky is filled with the ashes of longing.

Why, even now, do you search for me,
In these streams, my tears flow?
With two eyes, I light a lamp,
Standing alone by the window.

Rain falls in the stream of clouds,
Your sky is filled with the ashes of longing.

Festival of pains are happening in my chest,
The moon in the sky is a harbinger of ruin.
Stars fall across the night's breast,
Just like the glow of your face.
But today, do you think of me,
In the hope of finding me anew?

Rain falls in the stream of clouds,
Your sky is filled with the ashes of longing.

The wind knows the tale of memories,
Your city floats in water,
People near and far,
Like an evening spent alone.
Today, the waves of sorrow,
Float within that heart.

Rain falls in the stream of clouds,
Your sky is filled with the ashes of longing.
