Its my privilage to read your poem. Hopes are high and a soldier's heart is full of love for his baby daughter. You have confirmed what I think. War is both futile and demonic. There may be liberty at stake but at what price?

When you have the time your thoughts reurn to where your heart is.Dodging death takes up most of your time I'm afraid. No room to think tender thoughts as a rule. These thoughts occur mainly after the battle when you are in comparitive safety. You express your thought well in poetic prose well done
