Come and dance with me
We can waltz upon a rainbow
In close kinship, and community
We could dance long and slow
A glide or slide we both know
You hesitate—you stall
You won't dance at all
Not even a walk or stroll
But acceptance is my goal
Judge me as the one you see…
Not as the one you want me to be
I am who I am, through an' through
And you…are you

When it's over; and you know it, but still continue living in denial. Very powerful poem.
