Let's Ask The Lord To Lend Him A Helping Hand Poem by Mark Heathcote

Let's Ask The Lord To Lend Him A Helping Hand

Let us go to the chapel and say our prayers
our hearts might be feeling broken right now
but then again: little-one Him upstairs.
Might provide us with some answers and endow-

us some well-needed hope to continue.
The doctors are all doing all they can
Here my sweet darling takes this tissue.
Forget about what dad's cardiogram-

Says he'll pull through. Let's ask the Lord to lend
him a helping hand, He knows your father-
is a good man, I'm-sure He will commend?
Mend his body prevent his departure.

The surgeon avails himself before them.
Dads pulled through; it's a miracle amen.
