Let Us Sing Our Own Song Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Let Us Sing Our Own Song

Rating: 5.0

Let us not sing
In the voice of others,
Let us find
Our own voice.

Let us not use
Someone else's muse
Let us find the music
In our own self.

Let us not look for
The diya lighted by others
Let us find the light
Within ourselves.

Let us not try grabbing
What the other has
Let us inculcate
The power to eschew.

Let us not emulate
What the other does
Let us live
Our own life.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Let us give up greed for power and money and embrace His commandments. Let us live a life worthy of Him.
