It comes straight out of the heart which shapes our feelings, emotions and energy and coverts them into a wonderful poetry. Thanks for sharing.
So so true, words can soften the hardest of hearts, a great poem.
Yes, this is your voice of engagement with the world. You identify what is needed, and then provide it. It's an answer to the crisis in AWAY WE GO, because in this poem, the poet is like Socrates's sentry in his speech to the Athenian court: there are evil people, but he will not abandon the world, surrendering it to them. In one of Dostoyevsky's novels, a character says, BEAUTY WILL SAVE THE WORLD, but then begins to doubt it and abandons the idea. You do not lose faith. You show how beautiful poems strengthen us. The last two lines of this poem are especially inspiring and invigorating! And the title suggest we are composing our selves as we write poems. That's a great idea about Poetry itself as a source of renewal. You are the torch bearer, Sandra!
