Let The Buyer Beware Poem by Buddy Bee Anthony

Let The Buyer Beware

They creep around on your T.V
smiling
in their pin striped suits,
lithe legs, in leotards, and perfect
teeth with feathered hair,
and practiced ease
languishing so leisurely
With promises of satisfaction
guaranteed.
Wearing Rolex watches
and Versace shoes
affirming their rock-solid pedigree.
They're our new best friends
They're televised.
a confident sincerity
a twinkle in their eyes
with startling gaze to
hypnotize.
Convincing us we'd be fools '
lost in a dead shuffle
if we didn't buy.
We're perfect fodder
target marketed,
pre qualified.
Come hither Rover
'so we can toss you our bone'
Out flanked at rudder,
port and bow,
Smiling as our ship goes down,
with an added bonus

The weight of Atlas
relieved from heavy shoulders
if we order today.
After getting their service
To believe such bold claims,
We must have been high.
Because, they send you a swing
and a miss.
not even a line out, or a hit.
It's different from the picture
plus, it don't fit
It's the wrong make, model, style, and/ or design
It's not in my colors, nor my size.
The insurance won't pay off
when you need it the most.
and those special benefits
are so special
No one I talk with
can even find them.
So, if there is one thing true
I can depart to you.
Satisfaction is hardly ever guaranteed
No matter what they say or do
it's a shell game
a trick they play. on me and you.
So they can off load more dollar store junk
from some banana republic
Crap that will break in five minutes
and fold when you need it most.
So, I'll give out to you
some special, free, bonus advice
at a rock bottom, introductory
think on it price.
Remember this;
satisfaction costs more
than short money can buy.
I will almost guarantee it.
