I 'd like to think my payment as a mum is the unconditional love I get from my boys and the joy of sharing their most formative years. Balance is the key but it's not always that simple... A well crafted and provocative write Mary and one I can sympathise with. Kind regards, Justine.
The dining room chats, the five minutes given to share that you always say that you will get around to, to stop and really smell the flowers in the moment and together all these we must work very hard at, I think that if the carer were paid then some may not see the value of their job and therefore the most essential element of love may not be contained, Either way I know what you mean and you are right, it is such a shame that so many have to suffer, and that so many need to acquire the skills to really care for their Children, Well done Mary, really got me thinking here, I think that also we must remember that some parenting skills are a result of a previous environment in which they needed some guidance of somekind, love Duncan

I was able to stay home and, mostly, don't regret it - however, yes, the 'pay' stinks! (Made up for, got to say, by all the good things.) Thanks for the goodness here, Mary! ... Esther: ]
