i liked the flow. and thanks for the poem note. in the lines: You've the ones, who taught this one I know it's true... did you mean you'Re the ones....? i esp. enjoyed That my friends remain, In loyalty, and plentitude i didn't think you were making reference to 'physical' beauty (despite some reference to gray hair...which can be beautiful....i'm an example!) . but it sounds as though two previous readers were thinking that. as for lyn paul's comment about 'beauty is only skin deep'...i've heard that before and i think it can be taken in two ways. physical beauty (perceived differently by different people) can be on the outermost layer of a person...going only as deep as the skin, sort of. OR spiritual/emotional/mental beauty can be just below the skin (in the depths below the skin) . thanks for sharing. :) peace back at ya!
A beautiful write Susan and beauty is only skin deep. Thank you for your great Poet Notes.
much appreciate the underlying thoughts of the poem. appearances are oftener than not deceptive.
A sweet rendering of pure love and emotion... My complements to you! ... with applause to you dear poet., a standing ovation... for your wisdom in acknowledgement and your dedication to life's greatest treasures... family and friends.
