Let Me Borrow A Few Words Poem by Hebert Logerie

Let me borrow a few words of choice
So I can be more effective at expressing
Myself much better. Be the source
Of my inspiration. Help me sing
The words that I cannot pronounce
Help me articulate better. Let's bounce
The accents on top of the vowels
Help me dot the i's. Don't throw the towels
On the floor. It is not the time to give up
Let me borrow a few words so I can flow on top
Of the waves. Help me breathe. Help me
Send more words my way. I want to shout
Freedom for the world. There is a big knee
On my neck. I know what I am talking about
Let me have a few words that I won't give back
That's a promise. I'm learning new words daily
I want to continue expressing myself until eternity
Help me remove the huge rock off me and sever the lock.
