Let It Go (Sonnet #298) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Let It Go (Sonnet #298)

The sea bids farewell to past memories,
It's time to stop rowing and let it go,
Let yourself drift with the soft divine breeze,
Like caterpillars into butterflies grow.

Surrender as a feather sways in the air,
Light and free, she waltzes with golden sunlight
Above beds of roses, echoes are heard there:
Move ahead happily, breathe life's delight.

O soulmate, only you my heart longs to keep,
Upon your tenderness, my soul wants to rest,
In the ocean of your love, let me delve deep,
Let my soul quench her longing with love's zest.

As I wander deep through my soul's bright hall,
I see past pictures of you and I on her wall.
