In Tamil there is a saying, "If the cooking hearth is kindled in one home six houses around that one house will have nobody hungry." (I recalled from memory. Could be different slightly) . This saying addresses poverty.

2. This idea could be extrapolated to the relationship between countries too. War is no solution to any of the issues. Wars are fought only to satisfy the egos of the heads of governments. Peoples have nothing to do with it. They suffer.
