LET HER GO
She is so beautiful, so serene and so pure,
She takes care of me and she is my best friend for sure!
But now I'll have to admit that I've myself given her that right,

this is an interesting mixture of polished English in places, and not-polished English in other places. i shall let Mihir know specifics in a private message, as i did with There She Is..... (another nice one about the same girl; though i'm not even convinced that there IS a girl. i wonder if Mihir is good enough to make up the characters and actions of the two poems.........good enough, .... like ME!) . a couple of important misspellings i will tell everyone about, and i confess readily that after speaking English for over 60 years i still don't know how to spell all english words, pronounce them, know their definitions, or know how to use them! ! ! and some i've never heard of or have forgotten if i had heard of them! ! i suppose it is the same for speakers of most languages. Moment to make her realize that she is the angle that I found! ....... angle is a good word, but not the correct one: angel. i've seen this mistake before on PH. Her tight hug and kiss on chick would deep beneath my heart, forever stay! ....... [i don't blame you! ]....but chick may refer to a baby bird or be slang for a girl/woman, but i'm sure Mihir means cheek! :) i like the photo added to the poems, but i wonder if they are the real people; either way, i like them! ================================================= i especially liked these lines (or parts of lines) : low I am when she is out of sight! I presented her with the gift and birthday card, perhaps in slush, She liked it so much that she was not able to control her blush! ............. but to me slush means messy melting snow like i used to walk through sometimes in the wintertime. SO I LOOKED slush up online and found this: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - slush sləSH/ noun noun: slush 1. partially melted snow or ice. the snow was turning into brown slush in the gutters watery mud. synonyms: melting snow, wet snow, mush, sludge he wiped the slush off his shoes 2. informal excessive sentiment. the slush of Hollywood's romantic fifties films synonyms: sentimentality, mawkishness, sentimentalism; More informal schmaltz, mush, slushiness, corniness, soppiness, sappiness, hokeyness the slush of romantic movies verb verb: slush; 3rd person present: slushes; past tense: slushed; past participle: slushed; gerund or present participle: slushing - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SO, i guess Mihir was using the excessive sentiment definition, which i'd never heard of (i have heard of mush used that way i think) . 1. make a squelching or splashing sound. there was water slushing around in the galley =================================== and i also liked (especially) : Then instantly my fingers caught a chocolate, to which I was relieved, Your favorite Chocolate, is my last gift to which she blushingly believed! .......... a 'great' inspiration by the speaker, to NOT give away his feelings of love? . BUT, there is more time in life to make your move, as long as someone else doesn't beat you to it! ! ! i always think there are other fish (females) in the ocean (world) , but i have another confession! when i was about 7 years old i had feelings for a girl my age, and i still do, but, though we did date a few times over ten years later, i never really made my feelings known face-to-face. and it may not have worked out anyway! now i'm in my fourth marriage! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - of course i could say MORE, but i've got a lot to write someday in a message and i've got other PH friends to 'speak to'. Mihir, please let your readers know what happens next! thanks for sharing. i'll send this to MyPoemList! :) bri p.s. some great rhyming in this! !

Beautiful portrayal of a selfless and giving love, very joyous, heartfelt and yet sad having to let her go. You have expressed yourself very well in this poem. Loved the tender innocence in which you wrote. Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn
