Less Than Nothing Poem by Sven Rhoads

Less Than Nothing

I have tried but it's not enough
I suffer inside from self abuse
In a world that won't let me live
I've lost all will and a damn to give
I have bled until all left was hurt
And still after all I have no worth
Lost in the darkness the dwells in me
What more can I lose, I'm less than nothing

Love has left me broken hearted
Trust has burned me into ashes
Tomorrow is a day that never comes
And all that is left is a broken soul

The snakes have swallowed the light
The face is not even real
Where do I go from here
Where has my life all gone
The shadows have welded the chains
The dream will never come to arrive
When will the sun shine again
When can these wounds finally heal

How can I smile when I'm under your shoe
Your two faced words and falsified deeds
Make me see that I'm less than nothing
