This year 2008 is the centennial of G.K.´s birth. His writings are pertinent in a time when Christianity is coming to grips again with the fanatics of Muslumism. In Brazil several of his books have recently been translated into Portuguese. History is repeating itself and his poem LEPANTO which commemorated a maritime victory of the West over Middle Eastern pessimism and negation, is an event to be remembered and celebrated as G.K did.
