Lengthening- Shadows Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Lengthening- Shadows

If we have
intentionally
set out on the
journey of faith,
we will find out
that we will pass

through beautiful
and consoling
hours of broad
daylight,
the muted dusk
of aridity, and

experience the soft,
melancholic fading
of twilight.

 We may hesitate then,
uncertain of ourselves
and of God as the
shadows lengthen
and obscure our
familiar way-steps.
