Lego Poem by Phil Soar

Lego

We have so much Lego, the house is a mess,
Seems like it's breeding, but it's not, that's my guess,
We are constantly making up sets by design,
But none of it ours, just passing our time.

You see, we've retired now, it keeps us so busy,
Sometimes it tests us, we get very dizzy,
There's thousands of pieces, some tiny, some huge,
Some that we throw out that, we cannot use.

It's all reminiscent, of when we were kids,
When we kept it if cupboards, and tins, with no lids,
When friends would come over, we'd build 'special' things
Weird looking buildings and monsters with wings.

But now, as we age and there's a lack of restraint,
Their are models that please us, and some figures quite quaint,
And one day we will finish all the models we can,
When the men in white coats, take us off in a van! .
