Legacy Of The Son Of The Elders' Son Poem by Justus Cyril E

Legacy Of The Son Of The Elders' Son

I AM
Once a seed in barren lands and I did grew,
To a fragile shoot, I stand - where scorching winds blew.
In arid soil, my roots did firmly take,
Withstanding storms for nature's sake.

I BECOME
A desert flower and Oh Boy did I bloom with grace,
To show forth a symbol of PURE hope to all in this harsh place.
My freedom I Found but yet, yearning for more, I sought the sea,
And made some friends as we sail the world, wild and free.

I TRAVEL
Though with friends, but alone, Through tempestuous waves, I did endure,
Finding Love, Finding Pain with a spirit so strong and a heart so secure.
Did i reach the shores did I find the Sands and comforts of a distant land?
Yes I did - Though through TRIALS, FIND golden palaces on TRUE FRIENDSHIP - did stand.

I RECIDE HERE NOW...
In a palace of boldness, where I now dwell,
In a place of courage, filled with The Divine spell.

I AM
No longer a seed, but a towering oak,
and my journey was complete, As my purpose spoke.

Here in this HALLS is written the Wonders of the one that made me what I AM

I Am Ekpo Justus Cyril,
The First of My name
The Son of the Elder's SON
The Chief Scribe of ABANG ANIE
An AMBASSADOR of UKPUM Mminya

A Citizen of the Niger-Delta

Where I am Recognized as an AFRICAN PRINCE
SPEAKING words to draw forth the response of the heavens
To share with those I have been sent to

Today is MINE...
