Left Without Words To Say Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Left Without Words To Say

Even those who had been made to believe,
Others grew up as children...
To have no needs and given everything,
They wanted.
Without evidence or proof of it.
Or truth to speak it to deceive.

And as these 'kids' became adults,
Knowing what they had achieved to do.
On their own to have accomplished.
Far from fantasized delusions wished.
With applied motivation.
Determination and initiative.
Doing this done to do to prove,
No one gave this given to them too!

Difficult it becomes,
For those made to believe...
People like this grow up,
To have their needs and wishes pleased.
With it to leave them left,
Without words to say.
Who it had been to have provided,
Incentive?

Without it being rumored.
Or the doing of this done to do.
And when.
To not have claimed the credit.
With this to lie about as well.
Like other exaggerations told to sell.
