Left Unsaid Poem by Dave Dafes

Left Unsaid

In the quiet of the evening's glow,
Where shadows dance and whispers flow,
There lies a world we never tread,
A realm of words we left unsaid.

Your eyes, they spoke a thousand lines,
Of moonlit dreams and secret signs,
Yet fear wrapped tight around my heart,
And kept those truths from falling apart.

I felt the warmth within your gaze,
A fire that set my soul ablaze,
But silence held my voice at bay,
And love, unspoken, slipped away.

The moments passed, like fleeting sand,
With time's relentless, steady hand,
And now I stand, alone, aware,
Of all the things I didn't dare.

If only courage had been my guide,
To voice the love I held inside,
But now it's lost, forever fled,
A love that lingers, left unsaid.

In dreams, I trace the paths we missed,
In every word, in every kiss,
Yet all that's left, as night turns red,
Are echoes of what's left unsaid.
