Left At Shore. Poem by MIRAK Montiel

Left At Shore.

Rating: 5.0

Left At Shore: Like a boat preparing to set sail on a journey I can't join,
I stand at the shore, heart heavy, knowing it's time to say goodbye.
Goodbye to the laughter, the memories, the warmth we once shared on that deck.
The tide is pulling you away, and I have no ticket for that voyage.

So I gather what's left of my strength,
And I turn away—
Not out of choice, but out of necessity.
It's time for me to set sail on my own path,
To search for what this life still holds for me.

Right now, I'm shrinking into the shadows of my own sorrow,
Sinking into the quiet ache of goodbye.
But please—don't forget me.
Don't forget the moments that made us smile,
The pieces of me that found a home in you.

I hope you find true happiness in all your endeavors.
I hope your skies stay clear, your winds favorable.
As for me—I'll try.
I'll try to find joy again,
Even if it takes more than time to mend this broken heart.
