Leaving A Permanent Marker Poem by Eillio Imbasciati

Leaving A Permanent Marker

Addicted to success,
Yet also insecure
Compelled by their true nature,
As life had lead them in this direction
No matter what station or education,
Individuals are just mentally wired a certain way,
Driving down a path, wobbly or not,
Seeking fortune, greatness, and visibility,
Wanting to reflect something back onto themselves,
Leaving a permanent marker from where they once stood
