Leaves (How They Do Fall) Poem by Rani Turton

Leaves (How They Do Fall)

Rating: 5.0

Leaves, how they do fall;
Do they happen to wonder at all
Why the earth happens to turn
And them, with seasons spurned.

When they fall onto the earth
Carpetting the ground with their mirth
Do they think of the spring
And the life that it will finally bring?

That the cycle of life begins
That the waltze of seasons spins
Now leaves tumble and fall

One more autumn, one more fall.

I really love this. It's so simple and beautiful. It's a work of art.

You must be in a meditative mood, which is good. I read that meditation can prolong your life. With leaves falling in the fall I would rather think they like coloring the ground and our enjoying their patters and quilts.

leaves do not think they merely do what is natural unlike humans who perhaps think too much about their own importance

Liked it Ma'am. Projects an image of an innocent child marveling at nature.

Fallen leaves mirror Nature's changing seasons; But keep some of Her secrets with you for good reasons.... Thanks for sharing..too. Cheers. Subroto
