Leave The Rest To God Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

Leave The Rest To God

Do what you can where you can
when you can for whom you can.

Love all you can when you can
where you can the best you can.

Then you have done all you can,
though you may not understand
God has a master plan. He never
expects us to do more than we can.

Realize that you are not God,
though made in his image.
You are merely a mortal man;
some things are out of your hands.

So, after you have done all you can,
turn it all over to one who can:
leave the rest to God.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Many people get discouraged and disappointed because they could not accomplish all in their heart to do for God. He only wants us to do our best and leave the rest with Him.Jesus said, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'
