This poem is a writing that's this inspired from many poems that I have read online. There are part this piece that are NOT my original writings. But I think that it is a wonderful read regardless.
After a while you learn
There are differences between
Holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn
That love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't always mean security
And you begin to learn
That kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises
And you begin to accept your defeats
There are questions left unanswered
Words left unspoken
Letters left unread
Poems left undone
Songs left unsung
Love left unexpressed
Promises left unfulfilled
And you learn
To build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow's ground is
Too uncertain for plans
And futures have a way of falling down
In mid-flight
Seems that everywhere you go
Everything you do
Every song you hear
Every turn of your head
Every move of your body
Every beat of your heart
Every blink of your eye
And every struggled breath you take
Always reminds you of him
Funny how the whole world
Becomes depopulated
When only one person is missing
There are billions of people
And yet you feel lonely
And empty without that one
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns
If you get too much
So plant your own garden
And decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for someone
To bring you flowers
You learn
Time heals all wounds
But sometimes
Its takes a little push on our part
Not all love stories end with
'…and they live happily ever after'
