leafage in the forest
may get the kisses of the sun
they are the darlings of the sun
heart in the cradle
may attain the caress of love
they become the pursuers of the love
the leaf is like the heart
the heart is like the leaf
pouncing on love and sun
That's a wonderful connection between leaf and heart, both are parts of a larger entity but we treat them as symbols in themselves: of fragile beauty, of the sweet transience of life, of pure intentions, so many things that lift the spirit. As mine is re-reading your poem.I've focused recently on writing long, complicated poems. This one is a refreshment, a letting go.

Really wonderful poem with really profound sentiments. Without leaves there would be no trees, without love the heart couldn't skip a beat and without the sun there couldn't be any life.
Thank you Christopher for your nice comment.I appreciate it as usual.
