Love can be elusive as a butterfly they say, but when it lands on or near you what a beautiful sight! Enjoyed this one very much.

Simply beautiful. On a deeper level, I appreciate both the sincerity and openness of heart revealed in this write. That is what distinguishes skillful handling of language from poetry born of human experience and essence.

MAY I SO LIVE THE LIFE OF LOVE THIS DAY THAT ALL THOSE WITH WHOM I HAVE ANYTHING TO DO AT ALL MAY BE AS CONVINCED THAT LOVE IS IN THIS WORLD AS THEY ARE OF THE SUNLIGHT AND RAIN.

Lovely poem. Love is always on the outskirts of our mind, waiting to be taken seriously.

This is such a Great Powerful poem that I too can sort of relate to...well alot of it for sure. You hold your readers interest and make them want to hear your conclusion about 'Love' whether it come late or truly at all. A wonderful heartfelt piece of work.10/10. Thanx for sharing this piece Mary.....Have a wonderful day =)

did not look for Love I did not hide from Love I did not wait for Love Perhaps I did not even Hope for Love Harks back to the haunting tunes of 'comfortably numb'! Plugging a line from “Field of Dreams” that sometimes you come this close to your dream and then it brush past you like a stranger in the crowd. I think those fringes those spaces those outfields doggedly hold on to such permanent absences. Truly felt piece-thanks

Beautiful work, Mary. It must be real love that has inspired it. I especially love the incantatory form you've used, 'Late... Late... Late... ' and 'Love came.... ' - the repetion is very moving and takes us along with it so gracefully.

Mary, I am glad I came to visit and stay for a while. Another excellent poem. I felt like that when I was twenty five, thinking love would maybe not come my way, but it did eventually. Top marks and thanks for sharing this my friend. David

I don't think that there is a single thing about this poem that I haven't enjoyed It is wonderful, I can't quiet put my finger on it, perhaps better left in that soft light between what we can express and what must be left unsaid and yet felt within the heart Mary.....This is beautiful Love duncan X
