To have loved and to have this memory of love is a treasure for me. Lora you have such great lines in this write, it could be a song. I thank you for these Wonderful Words.
Definitely deep would be your devotion while love will blossom for Lord and lord will touch by his grace. Beautiful realization shared in this poem really. Heart touching.
For some reason Lora I found myself thinking of Christ's last words on the cross when He said, 'Father forgive them for they know not what they do.' You seem to attach so much hope to the idea that Love can finally make you happy in ways that you feel have been missing from your life. But doesn't Love also bring deep earth-shaking sadness to us as well? If God is Love, doesn't his Love of humanity also bring Him pain as well as joy? Should those who desire to love and be loved by others, really expect to be exempt from the full range of emotions? Are not our emotions and the desire they create to make things better truly one of God's greatest gifts to us? Just asking... Clearly a heartfelt poem of deep emotion and longing that hits us all where we live. Again I think of Christ's words which your beautiful poem paraphrases so well, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.
