Hi there
The cuts on your wrist tell me that you want to break free
Your mind chains you
This grey matter has consumed you
Makes you think that these grey skies matter
The clouds will rain soon
You are just like many flowers in the meadow waiting to bloom
But your mind has stopped you from seeing your colours
A rainbow of hope
You, oh you travelling soul
Trying to find a place to call home
Cracked mirror in the funhouse that is life
You are not lost
You haven't opened your eyes
It is easy to seem lost
When depression has blinded you
When trauma has scared your pupils
Leaving you only seeing shadows
So you hide, but these shadows are angels
You are not cracked
You have fault lines
Some people are better at hiding them
So let us bow our heads
If you believe in a god
Then say his names
I will say, my friends and family, as they are the gods I follow
Let us say our last prayer
That we don't, let our brain trap us without fighting
That we sing
Music is freedom personified
And dance is our bodies celebrating its liberty
Lastly, I know they may be a storm in your heart
But they are always serenity
As long as that is present
You will never walk alone
