I can see more of you, as you describe in your bio, than the leaf that has clung on to the tree of life in this poem. Very well done, and thanks for sharing.

I love this-=-I love the repetition of soulful lines, I love the progress of the story of the game little leaf- - would make an extraordinary children's book

My well wishes, my prayers, my love to that last leaf of humanity who faced all the odds but stood like a rock in the world of ugly and selfish men. I salute to those few men who are the saviors of the human race. who want green leaves and fragrant colorful flowers on this lovely earth. What a great poem Annette Aitken, I congratulate you for sharing such a wonderful poem.

Annette Aitken, Hello. I am reading a few new poets today. May I try yours too? This was wonderful. I have often found the sight of one last or just a few leaves on a tree like a tree with just one ear ring or something of that nature. Had though about writing about it and found something in your poem. Just a sweet strong story within a poem.............Thanks so much for writing..........................Blessings, Kathy

Yes Ma'am, I agree with you. Today the comment box is not working properly. So trespassing into this zone for the commenting on that lovely poem. it howled, it growled it even roared the little leaf hung on so tight no storm will get to me tonight. Great bravery in the heart of so little a leaf depicted so nicely. Thanks poetess for the lovely poem shared with us. A huge and humble 10+++++ for the sharing. Regards. Subhas

Beautiful depiction and metaphor for strength and holding on. I love trees and all of their leaves. You've respected them and the speaker in the poem so well. Well done. Thanks!
