Hey, the picture is a wonderful addition to the poem, Hank! That's the Las Vegas strip, all right. So many lights! Beautiful!
This is great, Hank! Fortunes made, fortunes spent More spent than made, I'm afraid. Noting, on the walls Not a clock to be found Isn't that the truth? They don't want anyone to see the time and say, Oh, my, I should be getting home! Lost Wages... A poem for the ages!
A bright, sparkling poem, like your photo of Las Vegas at night. Gambling is obviously the main theme; some win big-time; others lose everything. Still the attraction of Las Vegas is in the air. I would like to visit there, although not to gamble. The sheer brilliance of the lights by night.
Michael, Yes you should visit Las Vegas. There are many poetry groups there. My wife and I plan to vacation there in January after our Thailand trip. We are just a seven hour drive away. We could meet up at a poetry event.
