Don't you just love these commenters who must improve our poetry? But I must admit that the word did confuse me unless it was intended as a Lewis Carrollism. There I went and did it too. Like your humor. Adeline

Charles, is this the cat you're trying to give away... the one from your poem 'Free Cat', who disrupts your dreams? ? It sounds like you have a love/hate relationship? ? Hope you continue to enjoy each others company as you shed ('Haircut Payback') all over each other. Cute write! Brian

I bet you're one of those guys who'll spend hours looking for the remote but won't actually just change the channel manually. This is a lovely, cosy, coal fire sort of poem. Very nice. Hugs Anna xxx

Chuck - I can almost hear the knitting needles click as 'the cat purred me a rug of contentment' but I think your Darjeeling has gone, not went? Somehow, C. T., you always manage to see the humor in a situation. Scarlett

Another winner, guy! Who has the heart to dump a cat for a cup of tea? At least, not right away! I love the setting and the feel of this poem (and I get the use of 'tormentment') . Love the last line lots! Thanks - and keep 'em comin'! ! !
