Landfall

Waking up inside the storm,
Inside the calming eye,
A penetrating, gazeless form
That opens up the sky.
Wake the dead
From roaming sleep,
Swept out in the tide
Drenched and sightless,
Dreary, drawn,
Stretched beyond... beside
