Your weary eyes have seen armies, and statesmen, Suicides of forlorn coolies and depressed steersmen, Floating bodies of executed spies and war victims, Choirs and orchestras with their stirring music or hymns. this stanza reveals a lot..... we can praise everything but there are also so many things of which we do not want to be reminded of. i was in singapore. just thinking a lot after reading your poem. thank you very much for this beautiful poem and for your meditative thoughts. tony
