Lady Luck Might Come Around After Midnight Poem by Dorsey Baker

Lady Luck Might Come Around After Midnight

You say you are
not going to
gather stones
or throw your
money away
but you do anyway
you do anyway
every time you
gamble on losing
you win
a jackpot!
you area
good sport
but you keep it to yourself
when they ask you
to prove it to them
you move slowly
underwater
everybody likes
the way you swim
you show
you have good manners
and people respect you
for being
so shy!
