Once I stood upon a pedestal, exalted and accepted
Bathed in perfect love and cheer, my heart was never rejected
But now the tides have turned, and everything has changed
Hate and disgust now surround me, in a world that's so deranged
Chorus:
Lacrymosa, the tears fall like rain
In this dark world, I feel the pain
From the heights of joy, to the depths of despair
I'm cast aside, discarded and left to bear
Verse 2:
I used to dance on clouds of joy, my spirit soaring high
But now I'm drowning in this sorrow, can't even catch my breath, I try
The world has sentenced me, to a fate worse than death
And all that's left is emptiness, with nothing but regret

In this dark world, I feel the pain
From the heights of joy, to the depths of despair
I'm cast aside, discarded and left to bear

Once I was full of hope and virtue, now I'm just a broken soul
My heart bleeding, my spirit defeated, I've lost all control
But I won't give in, I won't surrender, I'll fight until the end
For in this dark world, there's still a chance for deliverance
