Knowledge Is Seeing Through The Masked Parade Poem by Christopher Cariad

Knowledge Is Seeing Through The Masked Parade

I rather be sad and learn
than happy and stupid,
to grow
than stay the same.
They say ignorance is bliss
and I think they’re true,
but I rather be sad and miserable
than to judge people for what they always knew.
Sadness is a true mark of greatness,
a sign of knowledge and great thinking.
Being sad is not the best life to have
and happiness is ever so tempting,
but my life
I would never change.
Just for the pure reason
of seeing through this masked parade.
