I doubt this poem will help paupers OR kings, but it was entertaining and (basically) well-written. I'll give you 4 stars. bri : )
Sheeya, Yesterday you left a nice (and smart) comment on my recent poem Venomous (Words) . Thankyou! I hope you survive well any venomous words OR snakes! ! : ) bri
For clarity aka 'in order to make things clear', I suggest you begin your first stanza with 'Kings' and your second stanza with 'Paupers'. Those 'same coffins' must get VERY CROWDED! !
'Wear to cover the body'....I think you left out a word. They wear what? : ) 'No money to enjoy life' I suggest putting 'Have' in front of 'No'.
Some kings may have many wives. I've had many wives! ! ! 4 so far. But I'm not a king. Ha ha. ;) 'They' should go with 'sleep', not 'sleeps'.
re line 5: 'Cloths are pieces of fabric. Clothes are garments or pieces of clothing, like shirts and pants. Clothes functions as a noun and a verb, but cloths is always a noun.' The spellings are easy to mix up. ;)
line 1 - you use 'grandeur' as an adjective. It is a noun, but I understand what you mean. I suggest 'They live a grand life' Or 'They live in grandeur.'
Kings! ! ! They rule the world! ! ! ! But, they cannot carry everything along, After they die! Buried in the same coffin. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
An insightful depiction of vanity upon vanity that is the life of human kind. A highly philosophical yet spiritual piece of poetry, insightfully penned in poetic diction with conviction. Lovely poem bristling with wisdom. Thanks for sharing Sherya. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
Two shades of life.... but death doesn't discriminate anyone, for it all are one. Beautiful poem with a message. Welcome to Poemhunter Shreya. keep sharing and keep reading.10
If I could, I'd send you a message to tell you that I left stars and comments on Kings And Paupers, from 2016. ;)
