I wanted to put this into MyPoemList today, but it's already sent there according to some of my earlier comments which i just peeked at. If i remember, in a month or two, i may put it into a Showcase List. fine reading. Recently i've submitted a poem featuring Queen Kong. So i thought i'd read other Kong poems here. bri ;)

ok, i already read (2 years ago) and commented....when PH did not restrict size of comments, which i now usually break into segments to allow my overflowing 'mouth' to speak. Ann Darrow was a fictional character from the 1933 movie King Kong and its 2005 remake, with whom the giant ape Kong falls in love. bri :) already in MyPoemList

i think i saw the original movie, with biplanes buzzing the beast. angst? heard of angst, but had to look it up: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - angst äNG(k) st/ noun noun: angst a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general. adolescent angst synonyms: anxiety, fear, apprehension, worry, foreboding, trepidation, malaise, disquiet, disquietude, unease, uneasiness business leaders expressed their angst over war and recession informal a feeling of persistent worry about something trivial. my hair causes me angst - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i'm still reading the poem. i don't think I'D get between KK and Ann! ! ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - if i were a woman i might start crying after reading these lines, so sweet! : Give me my Ann With her on my palm Let me go down The primal lover On the altar of his love - - - - - - - - - i just took a better look at Ann. she looks rather composed for the situation she is in, above. do you think she had reciprocal feelings for the King? ? [no, NOT the rock 'n roll king, Elvis Presley, silly! ] brutish might is true i guess, but insipid fools? would YOU let KK prowl YOUR neighborhood, probably fouling the streets with four foot long black hairs...........and worse? ? bri :) another to MyPoemList.

You have written a great poem imbibing the brutish might of King Kong and his irrepressible passion for Ann! The fire and fury of this movie monster and his love for the beautiful human female has made the movie a block buster! The poem is full of power like that of King Kong! A10
