Don't seize it by the throat
forcing choking froggy croaks
gently, gently see the thing
let it speak its mind
free to live its syllables
watch and listen to what it says
every line a prized possession
details more than enough
to woo its heart, to say
what the eye visualizes
and the intuition knows
perceptions play a subtle game
as archaeologists decipher hieroglyphics
unraveling forgotten clues and gems
discarded by sightless viewers
as the double helix is bound
together by its complicated creation
determining the very stuff of life
so too every word conceived for a purpose
burnished till it gleams, fitted into place
joining in a mosaic of kindred fellowship.
The worried words have finally found a home.
