Kim Min, Wan-An Aglota Poem by Kinsley Lee

Kim Min, Wan-An Aglota

The Wide Manchuria, the land of opportunity,
On the heath many tribes had appeared
And they had founded the hegemon dynasty
But time had gone, suddenly disappeared.
When Silla had collapsed, many familys
Departed off their old towns and the homely's.
He'd moved for dreaming at new place with family
But soon, it'd been the leading family.

A young descendant of collapsed Silla,
With his small force, he defeated the Khitan military.
Achieving unprecedented victory at the Choolhajeom,
And he captured Hwangryongbu suddenly and quickly.
Moving hearts, in battle of Hobodab-Gang,
He expelled the many enemy forth,
Never forgetting his father's homeland,
He became the glittering beacon of the north.

For long time we've forgotten his name in the history,
And only we've known him as a Jurchen name
But he'd the name of the Silla's royal family
Afterward we must call and regain his own name.

The Wide Manchuria, the land of opportunity,
On the heath many tribes had appeared
And they had founded the hegemon dynasty
But time had gone, suddenly disappeared.
When Silla had collapsed, many familys
Departed off their old towns and the homely's.
He'd moved for dreaming at new place with family
But soon, it'd been the leading family.

A tall, confident and handsome figure,
And people greeted him with blowing clarions.
He even treated enemies with tolerance
And skillful strategy, conquered barbarians.
At last as the ruler of the north, succeeding
Silla, as he'd always asserted himself.
It brings the courage to the distressed people
When reading the hero-tales from the dusted book-self.

For long time we've forgotten his name in the history,
And only we've known him as a Jurchen name
But he'd the name of the Silla's royal family
Afterward we must call and regain his own name.
